Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
If marketing has started to feel like a chore - something you “should” do instead of something you want to do - this episode is your reset.
I’m talking about what happens when we shift marketing from a performance into an act of service, and why this simple energetic reframe changes everything: your creativity, your visibility, and your relationship with your audience.
This conversation is for those moments when you feel disconnected from your message, tired of chasing algorithms, or wondering if it even matters.
Spoiler: it does. Just not in the way you’ve been taught.

Hello beautiful beings, welcome to Leadership by Design Podcast. I am your host, Karina Polonia Tripp, and today I want to talk about something that I think a lot of people in the online business space need to hear. And it's about changing your relationship with marketing. We often treat marketing as a task that you have to do, and we may not enjoy this part of the business. Many, many people are really great at what they do, but actually the part of trying to sell yourself and like promote your offers, promote your services sometimes feel very icky and to some degree hard. And instead of looking at this as a task that you need to do, we need to start to think about marketing as an act of service. Marketing is the way to actually transform other people's lives before they ever pay you a cent. It's how you grace them with your knowledge, with your full leadership. It's like the try before you buy moment where they get to feel the change you can bring before making the decision to work with you. And yet, so many people in online space feel resentment toward this part of their business. They think, I need to work so hard, I have to learn all of this, create content, educate people, promote my offers, and it's just too much, right? It becomes like heavy, something that people mostly resist. But I want you to think about marketing in a completely different way. So let's compare it to something offline. Imagine you walk into a shop because you want to buy yourself a beautiful outfit. And the first thing you can do is to see it, right? So you can know instantly: is this for me or not for me? Do I even even like it? Do I want to look at this? And then you can touch it, you can try it on, you can see how it feels on your body. You can stand in the mirror, and maybe, just maybe, in that small moment, something changes in you. You see yourself beautiful in it. And do you imagine walking out of the shop wearing it and getting a maybe a compliment from your partner or catching someone's eye, or just feeling completely at home in your own skin? That moment is a small transformation, it's a taste of what's possible. And after that taste, you are ready to buy or not. Simple as that. Now compare it to online services. The problem with so many online offers is that your audience can't see them, can't touch them, can't try them on. They are being asked to buy the unknown. And when something is unknown, but let's say low cost, like buying a cookie for $2 or a mini offer for $22, it's no big deal. If you don't like it, you won't buy it again, right? There's no big risk. But when it comes to high-touch services like coaching, consulting, healing work, the stakes are higher. When I see all of those marketing experts saying 2025, don't give value, don't educate people, otherwise they will just milk you as a free service cow. I mean, ugh. I roll, literally, I roll my eyes because I can see the toxic corporate capitalism is so ingrained in how we treat people before we even market, as if our right is to make money with least possible effort. Real marketing is building relationships with people. And as Simone Graysoul, marketing expert, says, leaving them better than when they found you, even if they would never buy any of your services. And to be honest, I couldn't agree more. When I've heard her say said it, it's been a few years already, and finally somebody out there was matching what I truly feel when it comes to marketing. And in my design, I have this activation in gate 26.6. This is the marketing trait, and in the sixth line, it's all about this authenticity and seeing this big picture in how marketing can look like. And to be honest, uh many, many people are aspiring to do the fifth line way, and I'm not going to go too much into the difference for now, but in general, this is all about seducing people, seducing them to your offers, like teasing them. And the sixth line looks at not only the marketing, but the whole circuit group in the human design where the channels are that it sees all of the channels in the circuit group and see the connection to truly support people, to truly be of service. So when I heard her spoke, I felt like home. Like finally, there is somebody who says that, something that was deep and maybe not even articulated at that point. But I got really inspired. And I also want to tell you all about that. How this incredible change in the way how we think about marketing can make us just better human beings, to be honest. That's why your marketing is the service. It's what allows people to feel safe. It's what allows their nervous system to relax and say, ah yes, this is for me. But if you treat marketing as an obligation, if you show up with I have to do this energy, that energy transfers to your audience. My friend, let me pause this episode for just a moment to invite you into a little fun experiment. This podcast is still a wee one, and I so deeply desire to spread my work as far as I can. As a thank you, I will send you my living your design self-study program. All you need to do is email me a screenshot at contact at Karinaapolloniatrip.com with the subject line podcast. About 15 hours of content to support your deconditioning and awakening journey. Inside, I cover all the types, strategies, authorities, and also the nine centers in depth. As you know, I work with business owners through the BG5 system, but I'm also officially certified as a living your design guide. And this program is the most important step if you truly desire to make decisions from your authentic truth. This gift may shift or change in the future, but for now I want to make this work available to as many of you as possible and to support my community. So if you want to support me as well and you truly enjoy this show, let's do it. Now let's go back to the episode. Marketing today can be free. Social media, email, so many online platforms. We get to use them without paying a freaking cent. That wasn't the case years ago. If you wanted to have a big reach back then, in old days, you had to pay for ads on the radio, TV, billboards, in newspapers. Even if you just wanted to promote something near your shop, you had to print flares, put them up, and that also costs money. Today we can reach more people than ever before for free. That's privilege and truly incredible gift. Your ancestors, who were let's say business owners, are probably turning in their graves, screaming, What are you doing, Karen? What are you doing? Complaining that you need to market on a free platform? Are you joking? So if you're still in the corner with your arms crossed saying, I hate marketing, it might be time to change that relationship. Especially if you want to stay in business. And of course, there are so many ways to promote your work, and it doesn't have to look like you see on social media constantly creating content. There are just so many ways, and I am going to talk about those ways on this podcast. But in the end, it's all about personalizing your marketing based on your unique career blueprint, which is imprinted in your BG5 chart. And BG5, if you don't know, this is a business application of a human design system. And it's so important when it's a business application, because in normal human design, many people forget that we analyze only the person, possibly seeing partnerships. But if you are a business owner, if you want to have a team, or you already have a team, or you even held groups in the past, but also if you are going to hold the groups in the future as your business is growing, maybe you want to scale, like the normal human design doesn't apply anymore. And I'm not going to go into the details about this, but just so you know, there are nuances. And when you understand those nuances, there are so many ways to market that can feel truly joyful, natural, and effective for your unique design. Because they are rooted in your own frequency, and regular content creation, again, might not be one of them, and that's okay. When you choose something that it's aligned with who you are, there is no distortion, no force, no obligation, just you in your way, in your truth. And that's how I'm sitting here right now recording this episode for you because I finally cracked my way, my true unique way, and my systems, my structures that support me in that journey. And when you change your relationship to marketing in that way, it can bring a level of success in your business and impact on the world that you never thought possible. And that realization inspired me, moved me to create something really unique and a space for us entrepreneurs to unshame relationship with sales and marketing and to find our tribe, supportive tribe of peers to practice visibility. And this is going to be a free community called Messillium Kingdom. If you are watching it after it's actually launched, you will see the link in the description below to sign up. But when you are hearing it when it airs and there is still no link, you can always look in the email. You can check my website and join. I will be informing you in my next episodes as well about this incredible place. And I'm so excited. Alright, my loves, that was amazing. I really felt on fire today.
